Are 1X drivetrains worth it? What is the advantage of a 1x drivetrain?

The biggest advantage of the bike is its design simplicity which helps you focus on your ride rather than gear adjustment. If you aim to ride on not-so-steep slopes and hilly terrains, 1x drivetrain hybrid bikes are worth it. However, if the stretches are full of undulations, better you choose 2x or 3x drivetrain ones. Following are the advantages of 1x drivetrains over other bikes:

Simplicity

The extra space also enables adjustment of seat tube design, increasing tire clearance, frame stiffness, and compliance.
